I mention yesterday we have lots of rain for our weekend. I was going through some old pictures taken when Violet was a newborn. Lu even looks like a baby! Needless to say, it was a huge undertaking with the girls...we went twice to finish our shoot! The point was to get a great picture of the two...well that didn't work and then I was put in to help-not that it helped! But there are some great pics of them separately. There were some beautiful pictures made and I just love looking at them. Hope you enjoy!

Stayin' busy...
We have been trying to have some fun with Lu not going to school. Keeping a 3 yr old still is a challenge!! Lots of dress up, crafts, cookies for daddy's work, looking for worms, making paths...we have done a lot. And Viley has taken off to walking! She is busy!! Violet and I went with Lu to the doctor this morning for her post op and we were "released"! So it's back to school for Lu next week and then spring break. Hope you are having better weather we are...we rain in the forecast through the weekend, again!
Lu has given me great advice...'don't worry, never give up and just be happy'
Enjoy the pics!

A year ago today!
Violet taking a much needed nap....
In some ways it seems like it has been longer and then again not that long ago...We made our first visit to Charlotte today! Violet was 5 weeks old!!! We must have been crazy!! Lucinda stayed back with Jason's parents and we brought Violet with us. It took us 5 hours to drive from Marietta to Charlotte that trip, a trip that we can make in an easy 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Violet was sweet and has probably had more house hunting than she will ever remember.
We loved the city of Matthews but could never find a house. And luckily found our neighborhood that trip and worked hard at finding a home in Lansdowne for the next few months. We had no idea how central locate we would be in Charlotte at the time. God was really working.
Jason just found his camera over the weekend and here are some missing-now found photos of our first trip.

Viley walks!
We have been waiting for our Viley to get moving and I think it is safe to say "she's walking!" She has been cruising for months now but last night while I was getting her ready for bed she took off. I guess a cup of crayons was all she needed! Now I can't turn my head! I'm sure we have some bumps and bruises to come but it will be fun watching her explore things completely different.

Jason's party
We had planned to celebrate Jay's birthday with dinner this past week but weren't able to. His birthday was actually Friday. Lu wanted to have her daddy a surprise party. She even told him about it! It was fun for her and Violet to invite their animals and friends to share. (plus it gave us something to do on a rainy day) Happy Birthday Daddy...we will celebrate sometime!

Review of the week....
While it has been a week or so since my last post, it isn't because we weren't busy...we have had a lot going on! My mom came in town last Wednesday to help with the girls while Jason had some business travel and then this past Wednesday Lucinda had her tonsils and adenoids removed! Thankfully, my mom was able to stay until today! We really enjoyed her visit and the weather was so beautiful! She helped so much with crafts and activities stored up for the next few weeks.
Wednesday was Lu's surgery and with that came the cold and rain-fitting for us! She was great! The doctor said this was long over due and compared her tonsils to golf balls! Her little voice sounds a little higher! Violet misses her playing with her and wants to be with her when she can. Thanks for all the prayers and continue as she recovers!
Enjoy the pics....

Snow day!!! (again-3rd time!)
Holly in action...
Smiley Viley
Lu and Dana
We woke again to a beautiful snow fall. While it didn't turn out to be as big as expected, we had a blast! It is not likely to happen this often but this is the third time this winter to snow in Charlotte. And I have learned some lessons...my girls will each have a pair of gloves and snow shoes! We may not ever need them but it would have been nice to have had them. Our sweet neighbors invited us for a sled ride to the school and then Ms Holly helped the girls with a snow man. It was cold but fun! Poor Viley couldn't move she was so bundled up.
