HELP!

I lost my cell phone over the weekend and it contained a lot of important info, well to me anyway. I used it as a PDA so all my contact...email,address and phone numbers lost along with it.  I'm so mad that I didn't back any of that up!  So if you read our blog  I need your contact info, please. Email me at katywilder@carolina.rr.com
thanks, Katy

Fall leaves...

I wanted to share some of the beautiful trees that surround our home.  Jason and I were amazed at the colors and experienced a great first fall with our girls.  I don't know if we forget or this was truly one of the most beautiful falls I've experienced.  Lu enjoyed playing in the piles and I mean piles.  (we don't know what to do with our abundence of leaves!)  Most leaves have fallen now and we have a lot of work but wanted you to share just a few pics.

Falcons vs Pathers...house divided!

hahah  So to fill you in...Jason is an Atlanta Falcons fan and has not been able to watch a game all season, he says there are "haters" here.  The Carolina Pathers  stadium is about 15-20 mins from our home so we are surrounded by NFL.  I've never seen anything like it!   It is a crazy adjustment being born and living in college football all our lives.  No one talks about college football at all!! Well, Jason has made the transition and has been on me all season to watch, I don't care to pro!  He wanted me to pick a team for the season well he picked it for me by getting me my first NFL shirt.  So we had our first 'house divided' game.  Jason cooked gumbo and we supported our teams.   I thought the girls would for sure be on my side but Lu wanted to just be for Auburn, love it!  Well, the Falcons pulled through for Jason and Violet and I lost our first game as Panther fans!

Mary and Joseph breakfast..

Saturday our church had a breakfast and many activities to prepare the family for the advent season.  It was a great event and we all enjoyed.   Preparing for Christmas is always a special time for me and now with our family we can begin to share this special time with the girls.  Lu really "got" the baby Jesus last year and I love that is her foundation of Christmas.  It will be a little different this year but we are excited about experiencing a Charlotte Christmas.
They took this photo of us when we saw baby Jesus.
(I know it isn't the best but it rare we all make a picture!)
And Lu was so helpful working on our advent wreath while Viley watched.

yucky shots...

Our girls had their well visits this morning.  And they both got flu shots, yuck!  I wish I would have had a camera after they got their shots...Lu was comforting her sister while daddy was comforting her.  They are so sweet!   As we know they are both healthy and taking a rest!

Girls pictures...

I had the girls pictures made last week.  They both did great!

Violet turn 9 months!

Each month my baby gets older and I can't believe it!  It's life and she will get older and learn new things but I want her to take it slow.  It just happens too fast!  Violet is an angel and I say that over and over.  If you haven't already met her I wish you could.  With all the changes we have been through this year her calm smile keeps us putting things in place.  It's almost like she is saying just enjoy the journey.  Her  smile is so wonderful.  She is different than her older sister and I am glad...they are a good balance.
She really looks up to Lu and they already have a special understanding.

Smiley Viley goes next week for her 9 mos check.  I can't begin to touch what she has accomplished in 9 mos but this past month she really started feeding herself more, crawling all over, pulling up, dancing, trying to talk, cruising and she likes the stairs!  Nothing gets done when she is awake!  I can't imagine our lives without her. I probably took these pictures too early (as you can see she is tired) but I still love them
Love you Vi!

busy, busy... birthdays, homecoming, shower.

So this past weekend we went back to Marietta with Jason for some business and to celebrate two big events.  Jason and I both have mixed feelings when go back.  Something feels so comfortable and right but we feel the same about Charlotte!  Of course, we miss what we know but are excited every time we "discover" something new here.  We miss McEachern UMC more than words.  It is the church we started our family.  It will always be special to us.  I haven't left that church without tears since we moved.  I also know God will fill us with new friends and prayer support.

Be patient we have lots to catch you up on....

We were able to celebrate Lu's 3rd Birthday in Auburn with both sets of grandparents and aunts as well as cousin.  She had an Ariel cake like she wanted.  She was so excited about it.   Going back to Auburn is so special.  My parents took my family there at least once a year before I was a student and now we are able to carry on the tradition with our girls.  It is a special place for Jason and me.  Lu loves yelling "War Eagle".   This was also Bob and Sarah's first tailgating experience as well as Lady Vi.

Sunday afternoon we were delighted to help with a shower honoring new parents to be Suzi and Randy.  They are due in Jan and we just can't wait to meet little Jesse.  I know first hand they will be great parents.  They both have been so sweet and involved with my girls.  Lu considers them family.  Ivy did a beautiful job with decorating...she is really talented.  It was also so good to see familiar faces and catch up with everyone.  We miss our friends but our so thankful we can still celebrate these special times too!

Lots of love!!

our sick Lu...

Our sweet Lu is feeling a little yucky today.  Violet and I took her to the doctor today and we have some medicine to hopefully have her feeling better soon.  As you know, it is so sad when you have a little one feeling bad.  I had to let you see Rasta, he doesn't leave her side when she is sick.

I am also posting from Monday's dinner.  We got a pizza and a big cookie to celebrate her 'real' birthday after dance class.  She was very appreciative.  We are excited about seeing family and celebrating in Auburn this weekend.

Happy Birthday Lu!!!

"Faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what is unseen". (Hebrews 11:1)  This scripture is one I remembered and prayed with for so long before I was given Lu.  I think back to our lives before and I am so thankful God made us wait until He was ready for us to have his gift. We prayed for her and loved her before we ever met her.  Jason and I were surrounded with friends and family for support, help and PRAYER.  We had a friend mention before her Baptism that all babies are loved and prayed for but Lu became a part so many lives before she was even conceived.  God strengthened my marriage more than I would ever know.  And brought wonderful friendships to us.   We grew closer to Him and depended on Him.   I want Lu to know how much she is loved, how to have unconditional love and more than anything rely on God for everything!
And believe in Miracles because I have two!!

I can't believe my precious Lu turned three today...where does the time go?  She is working at her independence something hard for me to let her do.  Watching her grow up is so fun and rewarding.  I can't imagine not having her.  She is a joy to be with and I am so excited for what her future will reveal.  Her imagination is amazing and  loves her sister.
Happy Birthday Lu!  We love YOU

Trick or Treat....

We were invited to a party in our neighborhood before we hit the streets.  Lots of fun...bobbing for apples, silly foods, yucky things to touch. We all had fun! After the party, we went trick or treating with our neighbors Holly and Dana.  Lu and Dana are very silly together.  Violet was a good sport as always.  Yes, Lu is Shirley Temple although Friday she wanted to be Ariel!  Do moms ever get it right?

Halloween Tea..

Friday was just beautiful up here!  Jason came home early and we were able to just enjoy the afternoon outside.  Lu wanted to have a "tea party".  I got this picture of the girls while we were setting things up.  I love it when I am able to capture moments like this.  Violet already looks up to Lu and Lu takes great care of her little sis.  Violet tries to keep up with her but the grass bothers her as you can see.

LU's Halloween party

Friday I was able to help with Lu's party at school.  It was so fun to see her with her friends and teachers.  I can see some friendships beginning and that makes me happy.  I was showing her the pictures and she knows everyone.  Ms. Cassie and Ms. Ginger are her teachers and they are great with the kids.  Lu also talkes about her friend Helen.
