Randy visits Lu

Our friend Randy was able to visit us last night while working with Jason.   Randy and his wife(momma to be) have been so sweet to our girls.  Lu just loves uncle Randy and Mr.Suzi, she can't decide what she prefers to call them.  They also have a dog named "celt-us".  We don't see them as often but they have a special place in Lu's heart.  Whenever she sees a woman walking a dog, doesn't matter what type it's "Ms Suzi and Celt-us".  They are just a few of our wonderful friends we miss seeing.   Lu gave Randy an earful and was sad to see him go!  He was sweet to listen.  Jason and I enjoyed seeing a familiar face.  We hope they both get to visit us soon, again!

Snack time fun

I am blessed to share some of the simplest joys in life with my girls.  Lu is always full of new things.  Her favorite snack is trail mix so we make up lots of combinations.  Yesterday we added a marshmallows.  She grabbed a paint brush and started "roasting it".  I think she got the idea from our trip up to the Bass Pro Shop where they were making s'mores outside.  It is funny the memory kids have, she didn't even participate but remembered.  I love her imagination.  Violet is now enjoying her version of snacks as well...how do you clean this up without a bath?

Back in business...well almost!

I just have to share our playhouse with you.  With our move I lost my sewing room...a much needed space, ask Jason.  So we had a little building in the back of our yard finished off.  I will be able to sew and work on "projects" (lu's term) with the girls.  Lu and I just started working on it yesterday but got a lot accomplished.  It was fun having her help.  She took the thread arranging very serious!

Lu's dance Halloween party!

Lu just LOVES dance!  I thought she would enjoy it but never this much.  Ms. Jessica is her teacher and so sweet.  Lu looks forward to every class.  They dressed up in their Halloween costumes this week.  As you can see she enjoys it and is making some sweet friendships.  Violet is always there as well and has made a few friends herself.

Lu loves pesto...yummy!

Friday night Jason brought home fresh pasta to cook.  One of Lu's favorites!  While getting everything on the table I caught Lu helping herself to Daddy's homemade pesto.  I know this makes her Pops proud.

Missing Lu...

The days Lu is in preschool are so quiet...I really miss her.  And I think Violet does too!  The picture of the girls was taken as we were getting ready this am.  I love seeing the two of them laughing.  They are a blessing!

With hair like Lu's we put lots of love (and product).  She was brushing Nesta and said "momma I think he needs conditioner!"

Violet is on the move!  I can't believe how busy she is getting.

Off to pick up Lu!  lots of love

PG umc

my last set from our trip...I always love to go back to the church I grew up in.  I have so many wonderful memories and a family that will always be close to my heart.  I took the girls inside.  They weren't too impressed to see where their parents got married as you can tell.
Also, here are a few funny pics made while we waited on everyone to get home!

Hoot Hoot!

As we were driving in from church an Owl flew into our yard.  He watched us for a good while.  This picture was made while I looked at it from our sunroof.
We are always getting more friends!

Fall Festival at Providence UMC

Our church had a great Fall Festival and Trunk and Treat Sunday.  Lu is understanding what the "treatments"  are all about!  It was funny watching her see the different costumes and then asking about the ones she didn't understand.  She asked me what I was going to be for Halloween!  I am guessing this is my last year to decide her costume.  So sad!! She looks adorable as Shirley Temple, I think

Violet turns 8 months!!

It is so hard to believe how fast she is getting!  Lady Vi turned 8 months last week.  She keeps us all busy.  Smiley Viley has become one of many names for her.  She always has the warmest smile! (and a great laugh to go along) Just to fill you in on accomplishments... she can sit, crawl, feed herself, blow her tongue and stand.  Too much for me!
Here she is with her second cousin Joshua, she was all over him!

Aunt Martha!

I love to hear love say "aunt Martha"!  She says it perfect and has from the beginning.  She enjoyed taking Gace to school with her and going to "aunt Martha's school" My girls have it made when aunt Martha's around that's for sure

Fish faces with Pod..

I don't know where the hat came from but Lu LOVED it!  My dad tried to teach her how to make a fish face.  I have to say he has a good one!  The girls love their Pod!

Cookies with Gan

The girls enjoyed baking cookies with Gan during our visit.  They were the pre-made and pre-slice but still entertained the girls...Violet was asleep but still had some fun with Gan!  She loves blowing her tongue.(Gan does too!)

Great aunts and uncle

I wish we had more time to see more of my aunts and uncles when we visit.  My parents both come from families of six kids so it is impossible to see even half.  I am so thankful for them and it means so much that my girls know them as well.  Here are pictures with Aunt Di,  Aunt Roz , Aunt Denise and Uncle Bill.  It is fun watching Lu tell them stories and Violet smile.

We love Grace!

I've got lots to post!!  We were in Alabama last week and had fun as always.  The girls love Grace so much!  She takes time with both of them and is sweet in sharing her things.  Lu is her shadow while we visit.  I can see Martha and I watching them play...they can fight like sisters!  A special treat was getting to eat breakfast with her before school.  Lu is already asking to go back to Grace's house.

Festivals and fun!

Okay so we are going to attend more festivals than normal this fall...The elementary school across the street had one Saturday am.  It was fun and Lu enjoyed herself with LOTS of candy!  She caught on to the "everyone wins" and wanted to play all the games.  That same afternoon we attended the Ciao,Italia! festival...so fun!!  Lu loved the music and danced with her daddy!  It was a lot of fun.  Vi was her usual just happy to be along self.  I wish I had more pics of her but I am usual carrying her so there aren't too many.

Also, that night Violet pulled herself up to stand.  Little thing still army crawling but wants up! She is growing up so fast.

Sunday we took a picnic lunch to Freedom Park.  It is beautiful!  I can't wait to take the girls back and take more pictures.  It was a beautiful weekend in Charlotte and we really enjoyed ourselves as you can see.

One more thing...check out this Caterpillar.  Can you believe Lu found it?
Lots of love!
